NMC Transfer Guide - MTA

Program: Surveying engineering
The surveying profession offers a wide variety of different types of work, some indoors and some outdoors. The surveyor may specialize in precise calculations, boundary conflict problems, or construction layout. There are also good opportunities to play a leading role in the development of the natural resources of the country. The profession affords unlimited opportunities for personal involvement.
Some categories of the surveying profession are:
- Land Surveying
- Geodetic Control Surveying
- Engineering Surveying
- Marine Surveying
Basic Requirements
Following this guide will complete the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) requirements and will meet NMC's Associate of Science and Arts Degree Requirements as long as 60 credits are completed.
Note: If a student has already completed 24 credits in Communication, Social Science and/or Humanities but does not yet have the MTA met, the student should contact Jean Burish at (906) 487-1621 prior to scheduling classes in these three areas to discuss options.
