Program: Computer Science
The computer science program at Oakland University prepares students for professional practice in systems programming, software design and computer applications or graduate study in computer science. Through choices of minors a student may broaden their area of expertise to include applied mathematics, business applications, management sciences, etc.
Admission Criteria
- GPA 2.8 (Your GPA will be established at Oakland University.)
Basic Requirements
Although Oakland is a member of MTA, Oakland University requires additional hours of general education credits for their students beyond the 32 hours granted by MTA. Students are required to complete two additional general education courses once they transfer to O.U. which may be completed in your major. Oakland does not count English Composition as a general education (under MTA), but does require it for graduation.
