NMC Transfer Guide

To: Oakland University - Main Campus

Program: General Education Without Macrao or MTA

Students wishing to attend Oakland University (OU), but will not have enough credit hours to complete the MACRAO or MTA agreement should select classes from below. See an advisor at NMC or OU for specific information.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

  1. GPA admission requirements vary depending upon major - generally 2.5 GPA
  2. Classes with less than a 2.0 will not transfer

Writing Foundations

  • Proficiency in writing can be accomplished by completing Rhetoric 160 at OU, or completing English 111 & 112 from NMC.
  • ENG 111 & 112

U.S. Diversity (select one - U.S. Diversity courses can be double counted in Knowledge Explorations area below)

  • HST 111, 112, 212; MUS 111; PLS 101; SOC 101

Select one course from Foreign Language and Culture:

Select one course from Global Perspective:

Select one course from Literature:

  • ENG 254, 261, 262, 263, 267

Select one course from Natural Science & Tech.:

  • AST 109, 119; BIO 106, 115, 116; CHM 101, 150; ENV 103, 104, 111, 231; GEO 105, PHY 105, 121, 221

Select one course from Social Science:

  • ECO 201, 202; PLS 101, 132; PSY 101; SOC 101

Select one course from Western Civilization:
