Each program offered is designed in consultation with an advisor.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

  1. GPA - 2.5 or above.
  2. Session of Entry - Fall Semester (Limited openings available other semesters).
  3. Transfer - Students may transfer after one or two years.
  4. Application Deadline - December 1 for following Fall semester.
  5. Auditions - Auditions required. In-person auditions are strongly recommended. If not possible, taped auditions may be submitted. Please address inquiries to: School of Music - (313) 764-0593.
  6. Proficiency Exams - Placement in music theory and performance classes is determined by examination.
  7. Lessons - Private and class lessons are encouraged.
  8. 2.0 or better grades required for transfer consideration.
