2023 Transfer Fair

The 2023 Transfer Fair was held Wednesday, Oct. 11 in the Timothy J. Nelson Innovation Center. Nearly 40 schools were in attendance to answer questions and assist students in their transfer decisions.

 

Applying to college 101 workshop

Meet with the NMC Advising, NMC Admissions and NMU Admissions staff for a workshop that will help answer questions about applying to college as a first time community college student or a transfer student. We will cover what to expect in the application process for state schools, what to consider when choosing the best school for you and what other students wish they knew in their transfer process, this is a great opportunity to learn more!

Food will be provided and this is a great opportunity to prep for the upcoming Transfer Fair and College Night on October 11.

 

University of Michigan-Transfer Bridges app and essay workshop

Are you interested in transferring to the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor’s College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA) to finish your bachelor’s degree? Please join us to learn about Transfer Bridges for Michigan community college students.

Families are invited to join and pizza will be provided.

This event included:

• Introduction to Transfer Bridges to Michigan as well as an overview of Michigan’s transfer application by LSA Student Recruitment
• Essay writing workshop by OptiMize
• Time for questions at the end with staff from NMC and UM-Ann Arbor
