  • ONE-DAY RADAR RECERTIFICATION
    This course is available upon request and will be scheduled based on student demand. Call or email to express interest.
    Course Fee: $250 (class minimum*=3, maximum=12)

  • TWO-DAY RADAR REFRESHER
    This course is available upon request and will be scheduled based on student demand. Call or email to express interest.
    Course Fee: $350 (class minimum*=3; maximum=12)

  • FIVE DAY RADAR OBSERVER - UNLIMITED
    15 - 19 December, 2025
    Course Fee: $800 (class minimum* = 3; maximum = 12)

  • ABLE SEAMAN (AB) & PROFICIENCY in SURVIVAL CRAFT (PSC-Lifeboat):
    26 January - 06 February, 2026
    Course Fee for combined AB/PSC: $2000
    Course Fee for PSC only (26 - 29 January): $850
    Course Fee for AB only (29 January - 06 February): $1,300
    (Class minimum = 8, Maximum = 12 AB and 12 for PSC)

  • FAST RESCUE BOAT (FRB):
    This course is available upon request and will be scheduled based on student demand. Call or email to express interest.
    Course Fee $1,100.00
    (Class Minimum = 4, maximum = 10)

    ** We no longer offer a QMED course.

Additional Information:

  • Classes require a minimum number of students and may be canceled.
  • *RADAR Minimum class size is based on a combined total of 3 registered students for either 1, 2 or 5 days with 12 maximum allowed.
  • Photo ID required, MMC is preferred.
  • If taking a recertification course, you must have proof of prior certification.
  • Types of payment accepted once registered: check or money order preferred (payable to Northwestern Michigan College), cash or credit card by arrangement.
