Book Buy-back Tips

There are many variables that determine whether the NMC Bookstore will buy back a textbook, as well as how much we will pay.

The NMC Bookstore will buy back your book, if quantities are needed to meet requests from NMC instructors for next semester.

If your book is not needed for next semester, the NMC Bookstore may buy your book on behalf of a used book re-seller, if the book has been requested by them.

Here is how you can get more money for your textbooks during book buy-back at the end of the semester:

  • Save your receipt. If an instructor needs your book, we will pay more for it if you purchased the book from us.
  • Keep all of the components of your book (CDs, study guides, etc.)
  • Take good care of your book. Books with water or beverage stains will not be accepted.
