Tutoring Center

The Tutoring Office is located in the Osterlin Building, in room 210. It is open Mon.–Thurs., 8 a.m.–4 p.m. for Summer 2020

Services provided include individual tutoring, drop-in tutoring, study skills assistance and supplemental videos and resources.

Any student who is experiencing academic difficulties in an NMC class can request tutoring, and it's available in many courses. Please call our office at (231) 995-1138 to check availability. Due to COVID-19, Tutoring is by Zoom only for the Summer. Link: nmc.zoom.us/j/2558122576

  • Monday: 10 a.m.–Noon and 2–4 p.m..
  • Tuesday: 10 a.m.–Noon and 2–4 p.m..
  • Wednesday: 2–4 p.m.. and 5–6 p.m..
  • Thursday: 10 a.m.–Noon and 2–4 p.m..
  • Friday: 10 a.m.–Noon

Math Center: Closed for Summer 2020

Where is the Math Center?

The Math Center is located in the basement of the Tanis Building, in room T53.

How does it work?

The Math Center is a drop-in tutoring resource. Tutors and Instructors are available to help students with homework and general math skills. No appointment is necessary.

Students can come to the math center with specific questions about class lectures or assignments, or to work with classmates. Many students plan to complete homework assignments in the Math Center so they can double-check their answers with the Math Center employees and have any confusing topics explained.

Which Math classes are covered?

Math Center employees are equipped to help students with all NMC math classes, from Pre-Algebra through Calculus III and Differential Equations.

The Science Center is located in the Health & Science Building, in room 111A.

How does it work?

The Science Center is a drop-in tutoring resource. No appointment is necessary. Students can come to the science center with specific questions about class lectures or assignments, or to work with other classmates.

Science Center employees are equipped to help students with all NMC Biology and Chemistry classes.
