Admission Criteria

  1. All courses must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 to transfer to CMU.
  2. Transfer students must complete graduation competencies for CMU (ENG 111, 112; COM 111; MTH 111) at NMC or they will be required to complete these classes during their first or second semester at CMU.
  3. ENG 111, 112, and EDU 101 must be completed with a 3.0.
  4. It is essential you make contact with CMU for admission requirements and dates of application in your freshman year at NMC.

Basic Requirements

Upon request at the NMC Records and Registration Office, a statement will be placed on your transcript, "MICHIGAN TRANSFER AGREEMENT (MTA) SATISFIED". Completion of the MTA will satisfy CMU's University Program requirements and 6 credits of their Writing Intensive requirement.
