Health Insurance for International Students
All international students are required to carry approved health insurance for the duration of enrollment at Northwestern Michigan College.
You may fill out an application for student health insurance online through Student Assurance Services, Inc.
If you decide to purchase an alternate health care plan, please note that it must meet the following criteria:
- Medical benefits of at least $50,000 per accident/illness
- Repatriation of remains in the amount of at least $7,500
- Expenses associated with medical evacuation to your home country in the amount of $10,000
- A deductible not to exceed $500 per accident/illness
