Students will embark on an exciting hands-on trade experience, diving into activities such as welding, soldering, and carpentry. They will gain valuable insights into automotive skills, take the controls of a mini excavator for site work, and explore a range of essential skills.
Through six dynamic stations, they will discover the empowering skilled trade programs offered by NMC, including Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC/R, Welding, and Automotive.
The goal is to bridge education and workforce, inspiring future builders and skilled tradespeople, and helping fill regional demand for skilled trades.
NMC offers a full range of degrees and certificates in technical and skilled trades areas.
Students are able to:
- Engage in conversations with industry experts.
- Handle and use real workplace equipment, tools, and technology.
- Relate classroom learning to real-world applications.
- Explore the various programs offered by Northwestern Michigan College.
