NMC Music Student Convocation
Join the NMC Music Department for our monthly Music Student Convocation featuring student performances, and faculty lectures and performances. This Convocation will focus on our Audio Tech students and their projects.

February 23, 3 p.m. (Lars Hockstad Auditorium)
NMC Chamber Singers, Canticum Novum, and the NMC Children’s Choirs – Jeffrey Cobb, Stephanie Schall-Brazee, Ashley Larimer-Kelly, Joanna Aldridge and Todd Vipond, Directors
Join us for a wonderful afternoon of choral music featuring the NMC Children’s Choirs, Chamber Singers and Canticum Novum.

NMC Canticum Novum, Jeffrey Cobb – Director
Join Canticum Novum for their exciting program of choral music featuring music by the masters both old and new: Lauridsen, Brahms, Runestad, Gjeilo, Takach, and Hella Johnson. The concert will feature Morten Lauridsen’s “Lux Aeterna” as well as music from cultures around the world including the music of Germany, Latvia, Georgia, New Zealand, and American spirituals and hymn tunes.
General Seating. Suggested donations of $15 for adults, and $10 for students and seniors will be taken at the door.

May 23, 7 p.m. (First Presbyterian Church, Elk Rapids)
NMC Canticum Novum, Jeffrey Cobb – Director

NMC Canticum Novum, Jeffrey Cobb – Director
Join NMC’s Canticum Novum for a very special event: “A Spring Evening of Wine, Sweets and Song.” This event will feature Northern Michigan’s premier choral ensemble, Canticum Novum, performing in The Inn at Black Star Farms. Audience members will be treated to choral music of the masters both old and new, and performances by special guest musicians. Your admission ticket includes:  a glass of Black Star wine and light hors d’oeuvres. Don’t miss this music event!
