NMC Music Department Events for WINTER & SPRING 2018

NMC Concert Band and NMC Grand Traverse Chorale, John Campbell and Jeffrey Cobb – Directors
Enjoy an evening of music for band and choir, including music by John Rutter and John Williams, featuring the NMC Concert Band and Grand Traverse Chorale.

NMC Canticum Novum, Jeffrey Cobb – Director
Join Canticum Novum as they share the stage with conducting fellows from the IAA Choral Conductor Institute. The concert, also featuring a string orchestra, will feature Mozart’s “Vesperae Solennes de Confesorre.”
General Seating. Suggested donations of $15 for adults, and $10 for students and seniors will be taken at the door.

June 22 & 23, 7:30pm (Dennos Museum Sculpture Court)
NMC Canticum Novum, Jeffrey Cobb – Director
Fresh off performances at Carnegie Hall and collaborations with the TSO, Northern Michigan’s premier choral ensemble, Canticum Novum, will bring its exciting blend of choral repertoire home to Traverse City for the Fourth Annual "Spring Evening of Wine, Sweets and Song." This event will feature Canticum Novum, accompanied by chamber orchestra, performing in the beautiful Dennos Museum Sculpture Court. Audience members will be treated to choral music of the masters both old and new, including a performance of Mozart's "Vesperae Solennes de Confesorre." The evening’s offerings will also include light hors d’oeuvres including cheese, veggies, charcuterie, and sweet treats from Morsels. A cash bar will also be available offering selections of local beers and wines. This is Canticum Novum's final performance of the season - don’t miss this music event!
