NMC Technology Help Desk

We're here to help!

NMC's Technology Help Desk provides first-tier technical support and connection to second-tier technical support to NMC faculty, staff, and students in assisting with their computer and telecommunications needs.

We gladly support the following NMC hardware and software applications: Google Email and apps, Self-Service, Banner, computer hardware/software, printing, audio/visual classroom projection, bandwidth, eLearning (Moodle, Ensemble), lecture capture, password/login issues, voice technology, web, and academic applications.

Note: NMC is now working with Black Belt Help (BBH) to cover Help Desk support intermittently during the week and weekend. Overall, Technology Help Desk at NMC will now expand hours to 24/7 coverage with the support of BBH, who will answer calls when NMC Technology Help Desk Support is not available on weekday evenings or weekends. 

AT THIS time, during the Covid-19 pandemic, the NMC Technology Help Desk is available via phone (24/7) or via ticket or Chat (8 am-5 pm).  Please contact us for password resets and any other technology issues involving nmc services.

For non-technical issues, please call our switchboard at (231) 995-1000 or toll free at (800) 748-0566 to direct your call to the appropriate department.

Due to Covid-19 all computer labs are currently closed.

Spring 2020 Hours

Tanis Building, Room 51 Lower Level (LL 51)

  • Monday-Friday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

James Beckett Building, Room 214 - General Lab and Technology Help Desk

  • Monday-Thursday: 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.
  • Friday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Saturday: Noon - 4 p.m.
  • Sunday: 3 p.m. - 8 p.m.
  • BBH will cover any calls outside of the above listed normal business hours. 

The Technology Help Desk at Tanis LL 51 and JB214 will also be closed for all NMC Holidays and weekends.

System maintenance

Information Technology maintenance is typically conducted weekly from 10 p.m. Thursday until 7 a.m. Friday.
