How to Apply

If the Nursing Program sounds interesting, here's what to do:

• Review the general Nursing program information, which includes prerequisite information and program model schedules.
• Complete the NMC Admission process and inform the Admissions office of which nursing program you prefer (ADN, PN, or ADN-C).
• For a formal review to transfer prerequisites taken at other colleges, please send official transcripts to:

• Refer to the Transfer Guide for questions regarding transferred courses.
• If you have attended a previous school of nursing, please submit a letter of good standing from your previous college's Director of Nursing to Tamella Livengood, Director of Nursing and Allied Health, at tlivengood@nmc.edu.
• Next make an appointment with an NMC advisor to get enrolled for the prerequisite nursing courses. Find an advisor
• Once your prerequisites are complete, you may apply to the nursing program of your choice. You may contact Tamella Livengood (tlivengood@nmc.edu), Director of Nursing & Allied Health, to make inquiries regarding eligibility if you are unsure of your status.
• To apply to the ADN program, please access the application via MyNMC. You will find the application under Self-Service and then click on Admissions. The application is open during the following timeframe:
  • April 1-June 1 for Fall semester admission consideration
  • August 1-October 1 for Spring semester admission consideration
• Admission to the ADN program is competitive and points are given based on this rubric.
• To be added to the PN waitlist, once all prerequisites are completed, you may submit the following form:
  • LPN Waitlist Request Form
• Students must complete the HESI A2 Admission Exam to be eligible for admission to either the ADN or LPN programs. This test may be completed during the application period.
• To be added to the ADN-C waitlist, once all prerequisites are completed, you may submit the following form:
  • ADN-Completion Waitlist Request Form
